Departing Broome, your adventure begins with a scenic flight across the Dampier Peninsula and out over the vast expanse of King Sound, home to Australia’s largest tidal movements and among the highest in the world. From the air, witness the extraordinary Horizontal Waterfalls, famously described by Sir David Attenborough as “the 8th Natural Wonder of the World,” where powerful tidal forces surge through narrow coastal gorges.

The journey continues over the breathtaking Buccaneer Archipelago, a labyrinth of more than 1,000 ancient islands carved from Precambrian sandstone over two billion years ago. You’ll also overfly Koolan and Cockatoo Islands, renowned for containing some of the world’s richest iron ore deposits, adding another remarkable dimension to this unique landscape.

Touching down at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, the experience shifts from sky to sea. Board a thrilling boat safari to explore the “Giant Tides” of the spectacular Kimberley coast, where you’ll feel the raw power of the world’s largest tropical tides while cruising among towering whirlpools and standing tidal waves. Back on land, enjoy a Pearl Farm Harvest Tour, gaining fascinating insight into the region’s pearling history and the delicate process behind cultivating some of the world’s most beautiful and sought-after pearls.

A delicious lunch awaits at Cygnet Bay’s on-site restaurant, followed by time to relax — and, if conditions allow, enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool overlooking the turquoise waters.

Your return flight to Broome follows the stunning Kimberley coastline, soaring above the striking red cliffs of Cape Leveque before tracking south along the pristine bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula. Enjoy sweeping aerial views of Beagle Bay, James Price Point, Willie Creek Pearl Farm and Broome’s iconic Cable Beach, providing a spectacular finale to an unforgettable adventure.

Please note: For safety reasons, participants must meet a minimum weight requirement of 25kg to take part in the Sea Safari. During neap tides, the Giant Tides Sea Safari is replaced with the Island Explorer Boat Tour, offering exploration of the intertidal zones, ancient Kimberley rock formations and remote islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. Due to scheduled tour times at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, the volume and intensity of water flow through the Horizontal Waterfalls cannot be guaranteed at the time of arrival.
