Our story began in 1992, when we first took to the Kimberley skies as King Leopold Air, a small charter company based on a pastoral station near the spectacular King Leopold Ranges. In 2020, when the ranges were respectfully renamed the Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges, we embraced the opportunity to evolve — honouring the land, culture, and communities that define the region — and Air Kimberley was born.

Today, Air Kimberley operates remote air services and unforgettable scenic adventure flights throughout the Kimberley and beyond, showcasing one of the most breathtaking and culturally significant regions on Earth. With over 30 years of experience, we are passionate about aviation, sustainable tourism, and supporting Indigenous partners and local communities. Our purpose is to connect people to the Kimberley, increase cultural awareness, and share this ancient landscape through knowledge, excellence, and safety.

Every flight is more than a journey — it’s a story. Our experienced pilots, also trained as tour guides, share rich insights into the history, geology, and culture of the region. Every passenger enjoys a window seat, a personal headset, and plenty of opportunities to capture incredible aerial views as pilots circle key landmarks and natural wonders.

Beyond scenic adventures, Air Kimberley offers specialised charter services for corporate, mining, government, and community clients, as well as custom itineraries for film crews, photographers, researchers, and expedition groups. Our team’s deep local knowledge and logistical expertise ensure every operation runs safely, efficiently, and seamlessly.

With our head office and new terminal located at Broome International Airport, Air Kimberley continues to grow while staying true to our roots — providing personalised service with genuine Kimberley hospitality.

Our Fleet

Air Kimberley operates a diverse and well maintained fleet, including the Cessna 208 Grand Caravan, Piper Chieftain PA-31, GippsAero GA8 Airvan, and Cessna 210, 207 and 182 aircraft. Seating up to 13 passengers, our fleet offers the perfect balance of flexibility, reliability, and comfort — ensuring efficient, on-time charter and scenic flight services to even the most remote destinations across Australia’s North West.
